If I Stay by Gayle Forman

This book was pretty good. I give it 3 out of 5 stars. The reason: it was slightly depressing. Stop right there, don't think "I'm not going to read it" it is well worth it. The trajedy happens in the beginning.

Mia is the daughter of some really awesome parents, and elder sister to a pretty cool boy. Something happens, a major car accident. It leaves her parents instantly dead. She's in a coma, walking around as a ghost or astral projection of some kind. Her brother's well-being is not immediately known.

Mia has to decide whether or not she wants to stay or if she wants to let go and meet her parents, wherever they may be.

I really liked the way Forman went back and forth between the present and the past, giving us more in-depth look at Mia's life.

What does she choose? You need to read it and find out. I liked this book and recommend you read it.

ohh you read it! Ok you're still breathing an sane(well as much as you were in the first place =P lol) so i guess i'd be ok reading it. The story sounds really interesting that's why i keep trying to find reasons to read it even though i know there's sad parts.

it's now on my TBR-when-i-am-in-a-good-place book

Yes, it was sad because the accident happens very early on and she has to face the fact that they're dead, and without knowing about her little brother, it makes things worse for her. I think what I found to be the most interesting is when she tells about things that happened in the past. They aren't really in any particular order, but we really get to see the people and how wonderful they really are.
